… it might look something like this.
Yes, I know that’s likely not the spread you’ll be looking to serve guests at your wedding / naming / celebration of life event.
But look beyond the calorie count and what you’ll see is a spread that works for this particular group of people on this particular occasion.
And that’s the link – a celebrant-led event ‘serves up’ a ceremony that works for a particular client, reflecting your particular style and your particular approach. If maple syrup with sausages is your thing, then go for it. Bottle of fizz with your scrambled egg: bring it on.
Okay so I’m distracted by the food… if you want to get married in your back garden, then go for it. A set of vows and commitments built around your relationship rather than what someone else has decreed: bring it on. Hold a celebration of life on a hilltop: I’ll be there.
I absolutely love this picture. I love the chaos of the contributions, I love that no-one has turned away any of the random ingredients (squirty cream, I’m looking at you), and I love that the most important thing, as always, is this group of people getting together in this moment, to mark this occasion.
Whatever you’re celebrating this December and in 2026, and whomever you celebrate with, I hope you have a lovely time – and have a celebration that really works for you.
